On the road again Monday Dec. 22

Cabrillo National Monument.  

Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo was the first European to set foot on the west coast of the United States.

 San Salvador ship was a 100 foot galleon.

We visited the Old Point Loma Lighthouse.  It was completed in 1854.

In 1855  Frensnel was installed.

 

We drove by the Naval Cemetery.

 We camped on the beach at Silver Strand Beach State Park.  Phil's setting up our lawn chairs.

We saw a surfer head out.

 Interesting colors with the sun reflections.

 After the sun went down it was still light enough to walk around.  Interesting deceptions of a couple from Washington state.
