Juneau, AK 8/2/2014

On the road again Saturday August 2
  Jensen-Olson Arboretum

I thought the arboretum would be mainly trees but the flowers were gorgeous and abundant.

August 2 and these single bloom peonies are blooming.  Mine are done by the beginning of June.

 Ever present raven.

In the afternoon we stopped at the ferry terminal to check on our trip to Sitka.  We were offered the option of taking a catamaran which would be faster than the regular ferry.  Sounds great.  We'd get to Sitka at noon instead of 6 pm.  Only concern was check in time was at 4 am (instead of 7:30 for a 9:30 trip) because the catamaran left at 6 am.   We decided to go early.  So instead of staying at the campground where we had paid (but only $5) we stayed overnight in the ferry terminal parking lot again.

We chatted with other RV'ers who were making the same trip.   Eventually we got to bed.
