Day 15 of our trip to Florida and SE

On the Road Again....Wednesday Feb. 9. Left Fay's RV Park at 9:15 am. Stopped at Walmart for fuel, groceries and supplies. We were fortunate to arrive at Fort DeSoto State Park in time to get a campsite for two nights. The Park keeps some sites available for drive up campers but the sites go quickly. The Park is between Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. It is a chain of 5 keys. Our camp site is on Christopher Key.

The view from our campsite.

The weather is always changing. After lunch we took a walk around Christopher Key.

Look closely to see the ospreys in the nest. Saw them flying around.

We saw so many birds.

We were told the dolphins swim in this area. Eager to see them.

At first the weather was sunny, calm winds, temp. in the 70's. When we got back to our site the wind had changed and temp. had dropped to the 50's. As we passed another man and we said Brrr! He said It IS winter! Being the the upper Midwest, I have a hard time remembering it is February and it IS winter.....sorry friends & family back home!!!!

Again today we met many wonderful people, from CA., MN, S. Carolina, Quebec, Ontario, South Bend and other places. We met 3 couples who have Roadtreks so we love to compare experiences with them and learn from them.

After supper we played our card game and finally watched the movie...RV.
It's funny, dumb and things are going better for us than they did for Robin Williams and his family.

Late afternoon.
