Arches National Park 4/9/12

Arches National Park 4/9/12: On the Road Again Monday Apr. 9 to get a campsite near Arches National Park. At the Park we walked the very informative video about the Park.

On the scenic drive the Courthouse.

The three gossips

The sheep

The balanced rock

The Turret Arch

The South Window

The North Window

The Double Arch. One Arch is 144 ft. wide, 112 ft. high. The smaller arch is 67 ft. wide, 86 ft. high.

The Garden of Eden.

Fiery furnace. The sun makes this look spectacular at sunset. Unfortunately not there at that time.

Fins...these rock formations.

Skyline Arch

Arches National Park campground was filled when we arrived. We stayed at Goose Island on Hwy. 128. It is a BLM, Bureau of Land Management campground.

Campground is along the Colorado River. Vault toilets but the price is right, $6. It does not have water available. The sites are level. We would stay again. But for summer may be hot as very little shade.
Location:Moab, UT
