On the road again Monday June 16
Wildlife crossing over the road keeps traffic safe as well as wildlife
Beautiful Lake Louise, even if it is misting and eventually it turned to a light rain.
No one is renting canoes today.
The water turns an extraordinary turquoise because of rock flour. As the glaciers move the rocks they are ground to a fine powder. The flour reflects the beautiful blue color.
The first chalet was opened in 1890.
Chateau Lake Louise amidst the mountains.
In the early days people rode horseback and they continue today. We ducked under trees when the rain was a bit more persistent. We chatted with a couple from Ontario who were also trying to stay dry. We always meet interesting people.
The gray is the rock flour or silt as the water evaporates.
Next stop Moraine Lake.
No rain or even mist but no one canoeing.
Rock pile moved by an avalanche.
Snow still melting and some is even in the water. Can you imagine how cold the lake temperature is!

Can't quite capture the beautiful blue of this lake.
As we were leaving a lady was taking a picture of our Roadtrek. She and her husband rented an RV and they were looking at different models. I gave her a brochure and of course our personal feelings about our fantastic Roadtrek.
We stayed at Mosquito Creek campground. We pulled in about 3 pm expecting to register and travel more sites. But it was raining so we called it a day.
